Terms of Service

1. The service

AskData lets you ask questions about your business data in plain English. An AI model generates a read-only SQL query, runs it against a database you connect (or a built-in demo), and summarizes the results. AskData is operated by Erman Tech Solutions.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide a valid email address. One person or business per account.

3. Your data and databases

You retain all rights to your data. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect any database you connect, and for using a read-only database user as instructed. AskData executes only SELECT queries and blocks write statements, but you should still connect with read-only credentials as a second layer of protection.

4. AI-generated answers

Answers are generated by an AI model and can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Always verify important numbers against the underlying SQL and results table before making business decisions. AskData is not financial, legal, or professional advice.

5. Acceptable use

No attempts to bypass query safety guards, access other users' data, resell the service, or use it for unlawful purposes. Do not connect databases containing data you are not permitted to process — including protected health information (PHI).

6. Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and can be cancelled anytime from the billing page; access continues until the end of the paid period. Trials require no card and simply stop working when they end — no surprise charges.

7. Availability and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months before the claim.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-app. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
